NAB 2025: FOR-A Announces Dante Audio Support for Product Range
Video Switchers, Signal Processors, Media Gateway, Software-Based Production Platforms, Servers and Graphics Solutions Now Fully Dante Compatible

Cypress, CA, March 11, 2025 –FOR-A America introduces extensive Dante audio integration with its product line up, including its range of broadcast and professional video production switchers. Developed by Audinate, Dante audio networking enables the transmission of high-quality, low latency digital audio over standard Ethernet networks. FOR-A will demonstrate its new Dante support in its NAB Show booth (#N707) next month.
Global availability of the optional Dante I/O module for the HVS-190S/190I and HVS-490 video switchers is expected by Spring 2025. Several other products now have Dante as a factory add-on or as a licensable option from Audinate, including the FA-1616 multi-channel signal processor; FA-9600 signal processors; the software-based live production platform SOAR-A; ClassX graphics solutions; and Insight video servers.
New software-based technology still to be announced will also include Dante support: a production switcher and a platform that consolidates production functions into one machine. Both will also be introduced at NAB. The MFR-3100EX all-in-one production center will feature Dante support soon as well.
"In live event production, Dante-enabled video production switchers are an important part of the workflow," explained Satoshi Kanemura, President, FOR-A America. "In the live event and house of worship markets, audio systems are almost universally based on Dante connectivity. It's the standard. Supporting Dante means offering a future-proof solution that integrates seamlessly into modern, IP-driven production workflows. We're thrilled that our entire product range now supports Dante audio."
The HVS-DNT, an optional Dante I/O module for the HVS-190S/190I and HVS-490 video switchers, supports up to 64 channels of Dante audio input/output and selects signals from the Dante network and integrates them into the ancillary data functions of the host video switcher. The module includes two SDI connections that can be independently configured as inputs or outputs, enabling the demultiplexing of signals from SDI to Dante or the multiplexing of signals from Dante to SDI, depending on the user's configuration. No longer are outboard SDI-to-Dante and Dante-to SDI embedders and de-embedders needed, along with patching, routing and converters, to generate multiple streams of video - each with a different version of audio content.
Additionally, there are channel-specific audio level controls and delay controls. Dante allows multi-channel audio to be transmitted with low latency in an audio system and automatically configures network-related settings, making it easy to set up the system.
"With this broad ranging implementation, FOR-A clearly sees the value in our technology. We're proud that a manufacturer so well known for its pioneering design and engineering expertise has committed to Dante audio," said Joshua Rush, Chief Marketing Officer, Audinate. "We look forward to a very long and successful partnership with FOR-A."
