Online Configuration Guide of the FA-9600

Model Selection

The FA-9600 is more than a basic frame synchronizer. Video conversion of all kinds is easy. A newly developed color processing circuit supports thelatest gamut and dynamic range specifications, and an optional converter circuit is available for up/down/cross conversion. It can be used for dual HD signal processor.

In addition to FA-9600 standard function, With the FA-964K option features 4K UHD video processing and 12G/6G-SDI or HDMI 2.0 Level-A input and output. It can be used for simultaneous 4K UHD and HD signal processor. Use with FA-96UDC for versatile conversion: 2SI/SQD, 59.94p/29.97p, and Quad Link 3G-SDI Level-A/B.

Up/Down/Cross Convert Software

Converts between SD/720p/1080i, interlaced/progressive, and 3G-SDI Level-A/B. Supports frame delay. When used in FA-964K, converts resolutions from SD up to 4K.

Advanced Function Software for HDR

Compatible with ITU-R BT.2100-compliant dynamic range conversion. Luminance marker displays have become available, extending the dynamic range conversion and gamut conversion of standard functions, along with improved adjustment controls.

Remote control (AUX) panel

GPI control unit for main unit. Registers frequently used functions and capable of one-touch switching. Remote control unit equipped with 30 buttons that divided into 3 groups. Check the checkbox if remote panels are required to be directly connected to main unit.
FA-96GPI assignment in slots B or C is required if FA-AUX30 is directly connected to main unit.
One FA-96GPI card is required to control one group with 10 buttons of FA-AUX30. Two FA-96GPI cards are required to control two groups with total 20 buttons of FA-AUX30. For control all three groups (total 30 buttons) of FA-AUX30, Choose FA-10RU or FA-10DCCRU option and check the checkbox of FA-AUX30.

Option Selection

Please select optional cards for each slot. (choose one each)

Require the FA-AUX30 option. Please select FA-96GPI into Slot B or C or both of them.

Slot A

Card for 4 inputs/4 distributed outputs of Single link 3G/HD/SD-SDI or input/output of 4K Quad/Dual link 3G/1.5G-SDI. Pass-through supported on all inputs and outputs.

Card for 6 distributed outputs of Single link 12G/6G/3G/HD/SD-SDI, 4K Dual link 6G/3G-SDI or Quad link 3G/1.5G-SDI output.

Slot B

Input/output expansion card for digital audio. Unbalanced 4 digital audio I/O (8-channel). I/O switchable. Up to 1 card accepted.

Expansion card for FA-10AES-UBL. 16 channels (8-input/output) digital audio. Up to 1 card accepted.

GPI input/output expansion card. Enables GPI control during direct FA-AUX30-main unit connection and/or system creation. Up to 4 cards accepted.

Slot C

Expansion card for FA-10AES-UBL. 16 channels (8-input/output) digital audio. Up to 1 card accepted.

GPI input/output expansion card. Enables GPI control during direct FA-AUX30-main unit connection and/or system creation. Up to 1 card accepted.

Slot D

Cable for LTC input and output. Enables one input and one output. Up to 1 card accepted.

Slot E

Cable for GPI control. Allows 7 inputs/outputs, with each line switchable between input and output. Up to 1 card accepted.
